Hundreds of people gathered in Forsyth Park on Oct. 2 to take part in Savannah’s annual Picnic in the Park. The picnic is a fundraiser for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon which will take place on Nov. 5. According to Mayor Otis Johnson, this event and its 23,000 participants will “inject millions of dollars into the local economy.”
