The Salvation Army‘s annual Red Kettle Campaign begins two weeks before Thanksgiving and lasts until Dec. 24. Volunteers stand outside of stores in Savannah wishing a Merry Christmas to holiday shoppers, spreading word about The Salvation Army and collecting donations. Here’s a look into the reasons why the Red Kettle workers do what they can to help raise money.
