4:37 a.m. — Security discovered graffiti damage to the south side of Propes Hall. Maintenance was notified of the damage.

9:26 a.m. — Security discovered the front door to Crites Hall propped open. A test of the access system indicated that the system was not working. SCAD locksmiths were notified of the problem.

Noon — A SCAD student notified security that she had lost her SCAD ID at an off-campus location. The student was instructed on how to get a replacement ID.

March 29

4:18 a.m. — Security responded to a medical call at the Weston parking lot involving a student who had been injured by a moving vehicle. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

9:35 a.m. — Security responded to the report of an alligator at Old Arch. Animal Control responded to the scene and removed the alligator.

12:09 p.m. — Security responded to a room in Dyson House at the request of the residence director. The residence director stated that the residents of the room had moved out of the dorm at the end of the last quarter and had not cleaned the room prior to departing. The smoke detectors had been removed from the ceiling and several beer bottles were scattered around the room. There were also prescription drugs found in the room. The room was infested with gnats and had mold damage.

12:20 p.m. — Security discovered graffiti damage under the pool stairs at Dyson House. Maintenance was notified of the damage.

2:55 p.m. — Security responded to a medical call at a room in Anderson Hall involving a student who had passed out and struck her head on a desk. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.

3:25 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that her bike had been stolen from her off-campus residence. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

4:32 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation at a room in Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was caused by steam from the shower.

5 p.m. — Security responded to a motion alarm activation at Kiah Hall. The alarm was determined to be false and was put on test mode until it could be looked at in the morning.

5:18 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation at a room in Barnard Village. The alarm was false and was reset.

6:15 p.m. — A non-SCAD individual reported that they had been struck by a piece of the building that had fallen from Bergen Hall. The individual claimed to be uninjured and did not want medical attention. Maintenance was notified.

8:24 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation with evacuation at Pulaski House. The Savannah Fire Department responded to the scene and allowed the students to reenter the building.

March 30

No activity was reported.

March 31

5:52 a.m. — Security responded to a medical call at the women’s restroom at Oglethorpe House involving a student who was feeling ill. The student did not want medical attention and stated that she was returning to her room.

10:32 a.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that she had accidentally left a bag containing her phone, iPod Nano, digital camera and two Cintiq pens in The Spot at Turner House at midnight March 30. When she returned to The Spot, a store employee informed her that at 2 a.m., an unknown female picked up the bag and left.

April 1

12:40 a.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that she had been struck by a car while crossing Bull Street at Broughton Street. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police and EMS responded to the scene. The student refused medical attention and was transported home by security. The police issued a report.

9:25 p.m. — Security responded to the report of a homeless man panhandling on Turner Boulevard. The man was unable to be located when security arrived at the scene.

April 2

11:45 a.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Pepe Hall involving a student who had fainted. The on-call manager arranged for the student to go to Urgent Care via cab.

5:21 p.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Eckburg Hall involving a student who had fainted. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.

April 3

No time reported — A SCAD professor reported to security that he had left his prescription sunglasses in a room in Crites Hall. When he returned to the room the glasses could not be located. The professor was teaching in a nearby room.

April 4

1 p.m. — Security responded to a smoke detector sounding at Abercorn Terrace. A walk-through of the room was conducted and no discrepancies were noted. Stanley Alarm was contacted so the detector can be inspected.

No time reported — A SCAD student reported to security that between March 9 and March 30, someone removed her digital camera, iPod Nano and a textbook from Montgomery Hall, Anderson Hall or Turner House. The student declined to contact police.

4:35 p.m. — Security responded to a smoke detector sounding at Abercorn Terrace. A walk-through of the room was conducted and no discrepancies were noted. Stanley Alarm was contacted so the detector can be inspected.

4:48 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm at Evans Hall. Stanley Alarm was contacted.

10 p.m. — Security responded to a smoke detector sounding at Abercorn Terrace. A walk-through of the room was conducted and no discrepancies were noted. The fire panel was reset.

April 5

3:56 p.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Anderson Hall involving a student who had twisted her ankle. The student declined medical attention.

4:20 p.m. — Security responded to a fire alarm activation at Dyson House. The alarm had been caused by Stanley Alarm Systems working on the system. The alarm was silenced and reset.

11:10 p.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Turner House involving a student who stated that he was thinking about committing suicide. The on-call counselor was notified and responded to the scene. The student was transported to Memorial University Medical Center at the counselor’s request.

11:14 p.m. — Security responded to a report of a homeless man panhandling near the SCAD Museum. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene, but no one fitting the description was seen in the area.

April 6

1:35 a.m. — Security responded to a medical call at a room in Oglethorpe House involving a student who stated she had injured her ankle earlier in the day while walking back from Ex Libris. The residence director arranged for the student to be transported to Memorial University Medical Center via cab.

3:50 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that his vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked at Oglethorpe House. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

6:09 p.m. — Security responded to an off-campus vehicle accident at 37th and Montgomery streets involving an injury to a SCAD student. EMS and Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and the student was transported to Memorial University Medical Center. The police issued a report.

11:56 p.m. — Security responded to call box activation at Arnold Hall. The alarm was determined to be false.

April 7

1:41 p.m. — Security responded to a report of an unconscious man located off-campus on Barnard Street. Security responded to the scene and notified the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police. The unidentified man was walking south on Barnard Street when security arrived. The police stated that they would handle the situation.

4:03 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm activation on the second floor of Corbin Hall. Security met the Savannah Fire Department at the scene and determined that the alarm was false.

April 8

3:15 a.m. — A SCAD student reported that she had been a victim of an attempted sexual assault at Oglethorpe House. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and, after questioning the alleged assailant, issued a report. The police instructed the male student, who denied that he had touched the female student, not to have any contact with the alleged victim. The on-call manager, residence director and on-call counselor were notified.

April 9

12:40 a.m. — Security observed a suspicious vehicle parked near the Equestrian Center. Jasper County Sheriff’s Department was notified and responded to the scene. Since the vehicle was locked and off SCAD property, the sheriff’s department stated that there was nothing that could be done about the vehicle.

1:07 a.m. — Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police transported a SCAD student to Oglethorpe House. The police stated the student was extremely intoxicated and did not know his dorm or home address. The on-call manager and residence director were unable to determine a local address for the student. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.

April 10

4:35 p.m. — Security responded to an off-campus vehicle accident involving an injury to a SCAD student. EMS and Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and the student was transported to Memorial University Medical Center.

3:30 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that her bike had been stolen from her off-campus residence. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

8:19 p.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Adler Hall involving a student who was feeling ill. EMS responded to the scene and the student was transported to Memorial University Medical Center.

April 11

11:25 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that her bike had been stolen from a parking meter at Barnard Street and Oglethorpe Avenue. Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

April 12

1:34 a.m. — Security responded to the report of an intoxicated student in the lobby of Oglethorpe House. EMS responded to the scene and transported the student to Memorial University Medical Center.

April 13

2:30 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that someone had spilled a green sticky substance on the driver’s side of his vehicle in the Dyson parking lot. The student did not wish to file a police report.

April 14

2:02 p.m. — Security responded to an elevator entrapment at Turner House. Maintenance responded to the scene and the student was released from the elevator.
