District: You’re one of the few children’s wear designers that will be featured, what was your inspiration behind your collection?

Norgan: It’s called “admit one” inspired by carnival tickets. Everything is bright and colorful. It’s for girls aged five to seven.

District: What was the most challenging aspect of the senior collection process?

Norgan: The most challenging part was creating garments that were completely wearable, while keeping things different than what is available in stores. I didn’t want kids to be uncomfortable, or wearing weird things, so it’s just basic clothes such as jeans, leggings, dresses and jackets.

District: Why did you focus your collection on children’s wear?

Norgan: I really love bright, colorful things. I’m inspired by different things that kids like, so it was really fun to incorporate that into my collection.

District: Are there any aspects of your collection you wish you could change?

Norgan: I thought it would be really fun to do an extension of my collection for boys. Maybe in the future, just change up the colors a bit.

District: Speaking of future, what are your plans after graduating?

Norgan: Right after I graduate, I’m actually going to Disney World to design costumes.

District: Do you have any advice for future seniors when starting senior collection?

Norgan: Keep moving forward. There are bumps in the road, but you have to find a way get past it. If you’re still stuck, change your direction.
